Puppets Up! Big Hug! - Thursday, July 29, 2010
The Puppets Up! International Festival celebrates the support of the local community with a "Big Hug" family picnic. Special guest: Max Keeping
This "bring your own picnic" event will be hosted in Kirkland Park in Almonte. The Barley Mow pub will also be firing up its barbeque in the parking lot. And the secret is out - Noreen Young will be presenting CTV Ottawa's Max Keeping with a new celebrity puppet. His last, and much loved, puppet perished in the fire that destroyed CTV's broadcast facility on Merivale Road. Puppets, festival mascot (Nick), music and prizes will add to the fun. Everyone is welcome.
