St. Peter Celestine Church

St. Peter Celestine Church in Pakenham (Mississippi Mills) is the only church in the county built in the French Classic style and is one of only three Canadian churches known to retain its particular Classic Italianate interior decoration. The superb original interior decor was restored as part of the church's centennial celebrations in 1993

From Five-Span Bridge to St. Peter Celestine Church 

Start at: Five Span Bridge, Pakenham

  • Continue west across the Five Span Bridge Kinburn Side Rd/County Road 20 for 100 m
  • Turn left on County Road 29 for 240 m
  • Take the 1st right onto Renfrew St for 120 m
  • St. Peter Celestine Church is on the left at 139 Renfrew St.

Sunday masses with Fr. Michael Ruddick are Saturday 6:00pm and Sunday 9:30am.
Anyone who wishes to have a guided tour of the Church, please make arrangements by contacting Terry Currie directly. (613) 839-3439.

Although there is no fee for the tour, a donation towards the maintenance of the Church would be greatly appreciated.
